According to a press release, Sachin Tendulkar dubbed the “God of Cricket” and one of India’s most recognised players has collaborated with digital collectibles platform Rario, to debut into the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Tendulkar will be a strategic investor in Rario, one of the best NFT marketplaces focusing on cricket. Historic moments from Tendulkar’s life and career, in the form of NFTs, will now be officially available on Rario.com.

To say Sachin Tendulkar is a player would simply be an understatement. The former Indian cricket team captain, who holds the record for most runs scored in the sport, played for an incredible 24 years, is recognised as one of the finest batsmen in the sport’s history. He is a behemoth, a sporting legend who exemplifies class and humility, and a wonderful human being. Tendulkar continues to be an inspiration for numerous youths, not only in India but also worldwide.

Regarding the collaboration, Tendulkar stated,

“It is amazing to see how NFT technology is bringing sports fans closer to the action and allowing them to remember their favourite moments. The Rario team was dedicated to creating a community for cricketers utilising technology responsibly. Therefore, I am excited to work with the company to exclusively debut my digital collectibles on the Rario platform”.

Rario has agreements with multiple cricket authorities, key leagues, and a roster of more than 900 international cricket players. They also hold partnerships with Animoca and Polygon Studios. According to the release, the platform has sold more than 150,000 NFTs since 2021. Alongside Tendulkar, Rario holds exclusive collaborations with many other top cricket personalities like Faf du Plessis, Rishabh Pant, Zaheer Khan, Virender Sehwag and Aaron Finch.
